In the early days of our business we saw the benefit of offering PVP-Iodine to companies that service the animal health industry. The benefits of PVP-I solutions carry over to animal health, providing the same rapid healing to lacerations on animal skin as they do on human skin.
For both large and small animals we developed PVP-Iodine High Available, which offers the formulator a higher concentration of available Iodine. Currently PVP-Iodine High Available is made available as an ‘R’ lot. It may also be made as a ‘C’ or an ‘S1’ lot with some restrictions and exceptions. Please contact us for details.
Marcus’ two non-USP grades of Povidone-Iodine offer cost effective alternatives to producers of non-pharmaceutical Povidone-Iodine applications.
Our two non-USP grades of PVP-Iodine – High Available and Dubldone – provide on average 50% and 100% more available Iodine content, respectively, than our USP grade of PVP-Iodine. These products are not intended for human application; rather they offer the formulator a significant savings in raw material costs when producing a non-pharmaceutical finished product.
